giant xtc composite 29er 2012 question???

Hi. Thinking about buying a giant xtc composite 29er, but slightly concerned about the massive square downtube. Will the shape and size be far to much for my thule 591 clamp? also has anyone ridden one? whats it like? cheers

    I`ve ridden the aluminium XTC 29er which I really liked.Good geometry and felt very wieldy.
    Can`t help you with the clamp on the 591,but I thought they were fairly adjustable.My mate uses one with his Specialized Enduro which is pretty chunky.

    lol deja vu, was at thetford two weeks back with my mates enduro fitted fine. he came from scotland and wished he come with his hardtail. wife is getting a bit itchey about the idea of me spending £2500 so may opt for the cube 29er gtc sl or a specialized evo 29er. lets see how much crack licking i can do!!

    THe downtube is HUGE... but not that much bigger than some/most.
