Hoy not Foy, Cyclist not Referee

Olympic gold-medal winning cyclist Sir Chris Hoy has taken to Twitter after receiving abuse from Tottenham fans.

Angry Spurs supporters mistakenly singled out Hoy following their 2-1 defeat to Stoke on Sunday, instead of referee Chris Foy.

The Premier League official made a number of questionable decisions during the defeat, with Emmanuel Adebayor's second-half goal wrongly ruled out for offside, while the north Londoners had multiple penalty appeals turned down.
