I have an integrated headset FSA orbit ce and am fitting it to a set of Ritchey WCS full carbon forks. These are then going on a Focus Izalco Extreme frame. the sizes are all correct having checked with Focus etc. there still is some movement in the crown race does anyway one have any tips as to how to make sure it is tight enough without movement please? Steerer is 1 1/8".

The crown race should be either a hammer fit or if a split race a hard push fit. In both cases when the top cap is preloaded the play in the bearings should be iliminated."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

There's some headset fitting instructional videos on youtube that may help. Normally if you cannot eliminate play either the headset is not seated correctly or the fork steerer is slightly too long. Double check that the top of the steerer is not too far above the top bolt of the stem. If the steerer is too long you can find the top cap assembly sits directly on top of the steerer when it need to sit on top of the stem.0
