I hate going back to work after a week off :( Everything hurts at this time in the morning!
Well, today I shall be going back to the carnage of work. I'm lucky though, as I'm only back for this one week, then I'm off next week, and we're closed the following week, so this is the last working week of the year :D

    More tea is needed!

  • Morning all,

today will be filled with going to all the companies which we had contracts with for our old flat, and either changing the ones we need to keep to our new address, or canceling the contracts with the ones we don't. Will be most boring of a day.

Cat drove me crazy last night. She knows how to open doors, and since we have alot of open cabinets in our bedroom, we don't let the cats in, but one of them just opens the door anyways. I have devised an ingenious bag of books which will hold the door closed for while we are though.

    Morning mongs

Uni today. 2 lectures, some revision. Then the fun begins, Xmas ball this evening. On a table with another guy and 10 womens so it'll either be really fun or I'll go crazy before any food arrives.

Anyways I really should start to meander into uni but it's probably cold outside so might browse the forums for a bit.

    Afternoon reprobates!
This morning I had to go to a speed awareness course, no more speeding for me!
Weekend was frankly brilliant and I am suffering a bit with the post weekend blues
This afternoon is workmeh, tonight is putting away all my stuff from the weekend and boring shoot like that. Oh and sleep, I need some sleep. Didn't get enough of that this weekend.

bit of a mental weekend was had, took mum and the kids shopping saturday and forgot my coat so i was walking round in my cycling juacket which was in my boot
Went out on the Jolly boys xmas drinkathon sat night, started at 5 until, well i'm not really sure. Went to the lowest of the low strip club, i mean it was proper scum, the kind of girls you wouldnt try it on with at the end of the night in a club :shudders: Much plastic boob was seen and much money was spent (not by me)
Sunday after getting my car back it was time for a xmas dinner with the outlaws and the far reaches of their family. man it was hectic, loud and genrally over crowded. managed a few hair of the dog's but by the time i got home all i wanted to do was die.

Anywhoo, been lent a frame to build up to use over the xmas period until i get the replacement sorted so tonight i'll be swapping bits accross. :)

Onwards to ................. dunno had bacons and lunch.................Coffee's!

I now have an overwhelming sense of triumph.

I've finally managed to tie a bow tie, no more clip ons for me. Think I need a drink to celebrate... having said that this ball later does have an open bar so maybe its a bit early

    Afternoon saddle sniffers,

Have been out on the bike today before the cack weather arrives tomorrow (and which may derail my planned Cwmcarn trip on Friday if the forecasts are right :-( ) . Also finished off xmas cards and most of the pressie shopping so have some spare time this week before relatives descend next week...

all my stuff came today so i could put the new forks on.

so, bars are awesome and i cut them down to 760mm. i screwed up the star nut so i think i might get a hope hed doctor as installing a star nuts takes the pi$$.
and the fork isn't looking too good. took it apart for a clean up and oil change but one of the damper rods won't come out as the bottom nut appeard to be rounded off or i'm not doing something right... which i don't think i am. so i put new oil in and put it back together but the left side is making quite a bad noise when compressed, which sounds to me as the damper or the bushings. i think i will get the fork sent off or go to a shop to get it serviced propely as the seals look like they need changing too. tbh i'm not too bothered about it as i paid only £150 for them so when they get serviced they'll be like new and they need to last me until next summer at the least.

but i might still be able to ride at the weekend though
