Hi,
I was looking for a new set of wheels, and was thinking the planet x r50's, I feel these would be good for road races but not to sure if they would benefit me over a time trial, does anybody use 50mm for time trials, if so do they help???

That really depends on the course and conditions to be honest. As an all round wheel that you can use for both racing and time trials then 50-60mm is as good as you're going to get. An 80mm+ section wheel should have an aero advantage for the TT's, but heavier and more of a disadvantage in windier conditions. Overall they should be a good addition to give you options and as more of an all-rounder.

I assume you're looking to use tubs then?
