Double and Triple SLX, LX compatibility issue

Hi guys, I have a question here, might be easy to answer so here we go.
I'v purchased..
deore 9sp cassette,
deore 9sp chain,
deore front mech,
slx 9spd rear,
deore lx 9sp shifters,
and what I thought to be a triple SLX crankset...turns out to be a double with the loverly looking bash fitted.
My question is, what would be the best and most cost-efficient way of making all of this work with a double chainring crankset?
Would it be easier to get rid of the double and buy a triple? convert it? or change the other stuff to double compatibility pieces? OR would it all still work but I just would need to be careful to change into the big gear which i dont have? Thanks.

just set it up to work. adjust the stops accordingly.
they will all work together."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

sorry if this sounds dumb but there is a way to adjust the shifters to not shift into the large chainring?0

Adjust the h limit screw on the front mech so it doesn't move further than the large ring and just use the first two positions on the shifter.I don't do smileys.
