Hey guys,
I've just bought a Rockhopper Expert 2012 using the insurance money from my previous bike.
I was wondering if anyone knew what the widest tyre size I could stick on both front and back? I had an issue with my last bike where some douche at Halfords said 2.5 would be fine and then half way down the road the bloody things started chewing through my frame.
Anyway I'm not looking to go as wide as 2.5, but the 2.0 tyres that come with the bike seem a bit slim. I ride 20 miles a day and the floor is getting increasingly slippy so the more surface area I can get down the better.
Thanks in advance.

2.25 back any on the front but different brands are sized differently and fat tyres don't always mean more grip. That's down to tread pattern and compound.I don't do smileys.
