Mini DH bike for 2k?

I've got my Commy Supreme DH which is fine for the big hits but I often find it just too much bike for most Downhill courses and trails in the UK, which saps the fun out of riding.
So I'm looking for a mini downhill bike - something that will take the hard hits but has more of a smile factor - a fun ragging sort of bike.
The problem is I only have an absolute max budget of 2k and would like to come under that a tad if possible. Anyone got any suggestions, any deals on? I'm open to all possibilities and suggestions.

Think first.
Then act.
That\'s it.
My 3 point plan.

I saw a review of a Saracen bike on here not long ago which was meant to be pretty good out of the box. Think it's around 2k and you could also try eBay etc. for a second hand DH bike but bare they will be ridden hard so buyer beware.
You could by a 2010/2009 frame from new old stock from some sites then buy parts as you come across them in deals etc.0 -

Giant Reign X is perfect for this sort of riding but the 2011 bikes do have some issues. For £1700 you can get a Reign X2 but you will need to change the wheels for some which aren't made from cheese.
Mine was assembled by an ape so I had extra issues which is very rare on a Giant bike.
The Reign X rides extremely well & takes the hits like a freeride bike, handles beautifully in the air and somehow manages to climb well as well. I use mine for everything from XC to DH racing.
I am tempted by that Demo 7 as well though.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350
