Ive saved up for months for this bike and it has replaced my GT Palomer which although a very cheap HT did the job, riding this is a whole different ball game, it feels good! Im so chuffed with it I cant wait for the North Yorkshire ice and wind to go away so I can get out on it!
Im going to Hamsterly on Wednesday if nothing crops up at work so I will keep you posted

Im waiting for a set of DMR V12 pedals to turn up, ive put a lizard skin chainstay guard and a headset protector and that is my extensive list of modifications!!!
I like it how it is but i might consider a different set of grips as the white ones already look grubby and ive only ridden a couple of miles!0 -
Nice bike there, I've been looking at the ht comp, and I like the look of it very much, but unfortunately halfords have decided to label it 2011/2012 model, yet a few weeks ago it was £649.99 now it's up to £749.99 bit of a joke really, by the way enjoy the bike it's a stunner!0

Well after a couple of small hacks I had my first proper day out at the descent park Hamsterly yesterday and it was mega!
I had some instruction and went down a few routes (None of the really mental downhill stuff! ) and the Boardman has really built up my confidence as well as having someone there to point me in the right direction. I hit some terrific jumps and actually managed to stay on the bike for most of them.
The bike and I both came home freezing, wet, muddy and with a few scars and a massive smile!
It is amazing how much a decent bike really helps with the technical stuff and made me feel more confident.
I really need to change the pedals, the standard issue wellgo's are really slippery and not up to the job but that could also have been my choice of footwear! (Merrel walking trainers!) I’m fairly sure at one point I actually kicked myself in the face  , but other than that I’m happy with everything.
The absolute highlight of the day was meeting Danny Hart in the car park and seeing him hit a few sections, terrifying!!!! (Photo to follow!)
The main learning point of the day was remember to unlock your front forks as suspension is really quite useful!
I’m going back up on Monday for a few hours and I can’t wait!
