Severe weather for Scotland, sweeping across from West to East.
Back in Glasgow for a few days, but no bike - just not worth it in what is about to hit us.

Flooding, trees down, bridges closed already, might have trouble getting home.

Shame the Rusty Raleigh's off the road, I really fancy a shot at the PB home with a 90mph tailwind...

    OK, maybe not.

  • I rode in today, but the Mrs insisted that I came home at lunchtime before it gets really bad this evening. Not too bad I thought, but tailwinds rarely are. Was a bit hairy when it came from the side, though, leaning heavily to even go in a straight line isn't much fun.
  • News just in: Hurricane Bawbag hits Scotland...

Just topped. Apparently the max is now 165 mph!

Nah. Hurricane Bawbag according to Twitter.

  • Impressively blowy out there right now. Fortunately, in a perverse way, it's often pretty windy up here so anything that's likely to blow away or fall over has done so already - there's rarely any damage. Stunning amount of water about though - flooding is likely to be the worst issue especially as the snow finally gets around to melting

It was even bloody windy in London. Probably the windiest in a long time...can't say I enjoyed it, but I'm satisfied I made it home upright.

16 miles home into a head wind. Twice blown 4ft sideways. Then it rained a lot. Why did I not get train home.
