  • Yeah that is definitely good. First I've seen or heard of him out and talking. Looks quite different to when he has all his gear on!

    From Movistar:
Mauricio Soler of Colombia arrived last night and could again embrace his family and his son "cachet", with whom will the holidays as he continues his recovery. The reception at the airport in Bogota, just amazing ...Colombia Thanks to all for your support!
  • Partial left side paralysis. That he's only got that is a testament to his strength and the medical care he's received.
Remember that you are an Englishman and thus have won first prize in the lottery of life.

I was happily surprised to see Soler walk with symmetry in his stride,in his gait there..it doesn't look serious left side paralysis as no limp..but didn't see left arm..but it looks like he has been given some chance of a normal life again..if he can get to this wellness in 6 months..walk properly, speak clealry and coherently etc..a quality of life worth the fight. He will improve quickly during the next 12 months too but IMO he should forget bike racing.

I've seen neurosurgeons do their magic and keep someone on life support when nature was trying to do something different..their brain op delievered the patient a fate worse than death, so am seriously impressed and happy for Soler!
