Morning all-
For the 3rd time this month some lady at my wifes work has called in sick, which ended with wifey boo being called at 545 in the morning being told she has to work. Many energy drinks are being consumed, as with 4 hours sleep I am a zombie. All I can say is fark Mirsada from my wifes work, and I genuienly hope she gets fired A.S.A.P.
Holiday today too, so not sure what to do now without wife here. Oh well, internet was finally up and running yesterday, just some mobile stuff but it should suffice for xbox, but of course I can't play because I don't have an adaptor to run wireless yet. Looks like a move of the t.v. to my office is in order so I can play a bit.
Have a good one everyone, i'm trying my hardest to not go bang on Mirsadas door.

Morning Fresh Princes and Princesses of Bellend
Work early today as I have to have training on a train I've not driven for over 12 months because theres a chance that I might have to work one in the 8 days that I'm working after its brought back into our jobs, still a full days overtime for a 3 hour training session.0 -

Morning Lover's of the Brown!
I'm up early as I'm heading out soon to Ladybower for a ride in the Peaks. It's going to be cold and wet, like my mothers dead hole (she's not dead btw). Not sure I can be orrificed with the weather, but it should be a fun(ish) ride.
After the ride, I'm driving over to Hull for chilli, followed by some climbing at Rock City, so looking forward to that too. An action packed day, if ever I've had one!

Morning chunder monkeys
Well today will be spent interviewing and then trying to sort everything before the unholy s**t storm that will result hits tomorrow and my once loyal minion receives bad news. Luckily I'll be at home as eldest is narating her school play, I seem to have spawned something of a genius, unless the onther half has been elsewhere.
Apart from that I will be sitting here cursing On-One for having XX Brakes @ £99 per end and Red Metal Zero wheels for £299. I don't 'need' either but I 'want' both!Visit Clacton during the School holidays - it's like a never ending freak show.

morning retards, and what a fucking jolly day im having .....
just been told by my lovely, redicuously over-subscribed university that rather than me helping them ease there own pathetic money making scheme by bringing in far too many students by moving out early and getting my own place, ive been informed that they'd rather accept even more students next year, and still keep in my shocking accommodation for the rest of the year whilst they charge me a silly amount of money for a box room, when for the same amount i could have a flat to myself and save them some time when the thousands of students who cant find a place to live next year come knocking on their door because they're homeless, when i found a perfectly acceptable, and chuffing nice i should add flat, but oh no since it deprives them of money and forces me to help pay their fucking pensions, i'll just have to put up with it  seriously its beyond a fucking joke now, there were over 400 students queuing up outside an estate agents t'other week, how the fark can the university claim there isnt a housing problem?! the education unions can fuck right off, it beyond a joke now...

Morning - well evening. Left Taiwan still feeling sht from the bird flu and the Taiwan Golden Beer - which is nice. Got to HK and an automaton arrested me for having '...too hot on head.' I was put next to some people - like about 20 mainly from Dhaka and filled in a form. Then I had to fill in their forms but I was challenged because they had anthrax and rabies and smelt as if they were decomposing.
Because I was British they let me in but I suspect that my new found friends were put in a weighted cage and thrown into the fragrant harbour.
Anyway found a neat route into Shenzhen by the no 43 bus which was handy - where I am now with no bird flu but some anthrax instead.
Which brings me to my question for Gazlar - do you get paid huge bonuses for driving your train during the Olympics or , being Welsh, are you exempted?0 -

The yes but no but yes. Londonmidland who I'm with got a very nice pay deal this year as they had to, under the terms of the franchise harmonise the pay and conditions of the two former companies (central and silverlink) after a bit of a stand off it was resolved with us getting 2k this year plus 6 extra annual leave days, but making concessions for productivity. The main reason for this was the Dft leaning on the french parent company to sort out a deal that kept us sweet over the olympics as we run trains to London.
Arriva however who I am going to, I have taken a fair sized pay cut and lost some annual leave, and as they dont run trains to London, the Olympics were less of a consideration so no big pay rises our owt, but it was the choice of eventually living in pembrokeshire or being better paid but living in Wolverhampton0 -
just bled my brother's shimano brakes for the first time and it went well . i know shimano are very easy to bleed but it was the first time for me. i was expecting to have to re-do it.

Belated greetings Maggots,
Today was a day of mileage. First to Basingstoke for an appointment at 10, so on the road at 6AM
Stopped on the lay-by and had a 30 minute power snooze as I was ahead of schedule, much needed too.
Then to Surrey to the office, I have a stinking cold, it's a chest cold, the kind that produces lumps of phlegm so green they make the On-One 456 Summer Season lime green bike seem a little dull. And they hurt too when I bring the fuggers up.
I've just gotten home as I left the office early as I'm feeling like shyte and don't want to infect the minions and mortals that are gifted with my godly presence twice a week.
I am now inhaling a cup of tomato soup, the Heinz variety that comes in like a purée form in a sachet, you add hot water, stir and wah-la! Soup!
While squeezing the red goop out of the sachet reminded me of the bloody pus I squeezed out of a violin (fiddler) spider bite on my leg many years back. Google Image fiddler spider bite to get an idea..
Anyway, a little TV, then I'll FaceTime the relatives at some unearthly hour due to the time difference to let them know about my progress on moving back to the warmer side of the planet in a few months.
Thank god I don't have speech recognition enabled, I've been nursing a chest bogey of note between my tongue and pallet whilst typing the last part of this Post. Yea, I was tempted to swill it down to the digestive system with some soup, but common sense says "don't do it Raymond, don't do it"
Right, off to spit out something that will take at least two flushes of the Armitage Shanks to sink..0 -
Now woken up - 5am in Shenzhen. Went for a run which was sht because of storm here. Saw the UK news on the Beeb - through the vpn as BBC seems to be banned in China and saw storms in the UK. In an acto of Nobel Prize winning genius I concluded that VS 201 or whatever it is from HK to London is going to be just awful!0

Give them a ring and explain how frustrated you are by having to wait!
I was waiting longer than i wanted for my bike and then it arrived damaged but they have been really good about it, I am still baffled that i had to wait a week for the pedals, but the guys in the customer service have been very helpful.0 -
Evening shat stains....
Good news I have an interview tomorrow and one on Saturday, so persistance has paid off..
Bad news for them tomorrow, just had a ruby...0 -

The ride was mint. Went around Ladybower, did Hagg Side, Roman Road, Blackley Hey, Screaming Mile. Then, whilst cycling back to the cars, the heavens opened and it persisted it down. Heavily. Then it turned into hail.
Got changed and had a chip butty in the Ladybower Inn.
Drove to Hull, and went climbing at Rockcity. Had an awesome time. Got up a few walls, and got about 4/5th's up an F5, which apparently for my first time indoors, isn't bad. Then we did some bouldering. I have to say, I'm completely hooked, and I'm going to book myself in for a course at Leeds Wall for after Christmas. Then back to my friends house for some chilli. Then the long drive home. It's only 60 miles, but with gales blowing the car left and right, it was terrifying!
Anywho, I'm home and dry now, and truely shattered. Totally worth it though, and it's left me grinning ear to ear!

Isn't Rockcity simply awesome! I learnt to climb there and its still my favorite indoor venue. Is the new bouldering wall open yet?0 -
It was pretty amazing! It was my first indoor climbing session, so I've nothing to compare it to, but it seemed to have a good selection of routes.
The new bouldering section is due to be completed between Christmas and the New Year apparently. I was quite happy falling off the cave, so I'll be interested in what else they can buildIt takes as much courage to have tried and failed as it does to have tried and succeeded.
