Morning all,

woke up to a bit of snow, we got the majority of things moved into our new flat yesterday, so only a few boxes to take later today from the old one, and then all my bike stuff. Had the first great nights sleep in a long time due to not having to worry about getting this flat, and also having carried a washing machine down 3 flights of stairs then into a van and up 2 flights of stairs, same with all other furniture as well.

Today will be filled with buying various small things we need at the flat. Got a dining room table ordered up yesterday which should be ready on Friday to pick up, a la Parents, so super stoked. And now it has hit me that it is now only 2 weeks or so until my parents come to Austria to visit us, so preparations have begun there as well!

Anyways have a goodun everyone.

No ride last night, no ride sunday as its the xmas lads drinks sat night, no ride the following sunday as were out for dinner, then its xmas then new year so no riding for me until next year  Unless i get a chance to pop over to the pump track for a cheeky session?

Loads of driving/phone calls etc today, gotta be me and minion again today  but should be meeting my dad later for a spot of lunch and a trip to Toys R Us. he loves it  so that will be my highlight.

    Exes and Double-exes,

MM in own flat = win.

Another day to be spent off-site - starting to forget what my office looks like. And that ain't a good thing. Going to have to spend next week in my own workshop as I've a big job coming up for a major customer (who consume in excess of 65,000t of steel a year - and they say engineering is dead). Actually looking forward to that!

Pondering the purchase of some 120mm forks, ya know, just for s***s and giggles.

    Also pondering a large coffee.

    Onwards - to caffiene!

  • Morning homos.

Today I have a decision to make.

In my online shopping basket are the following items:
Intense Carbine - Naked Carbon - 142mm dropout
    DT EXC150 forks
    Easton Haven Wheels
    XT Trail Groupset
    Easton Haven Carbon bars
    Haven Stem
    Reverb

However... to begin paying for even some of this, the edison would have to go.
I really want some lovely carbon shineyness, and now is the time to do it as I'll be off the bike for another 8months at least so can afford to do it as a long-term build.
I do really enjoy the Edison though.

    GAH!

    'ning reprobates
Early night last night paid off, feel amazing today
    work blah
    chores blah
Dropping off 2 large bags full of teddies what I did collect for charidee.
    Possibly study blah
And packing my bag again for yet another trip up north to see MrF. Haven't actually unpacked properly from last weekend, so won't take long. :)

Looks like I'm also in the 'no biking till new year' camp, however I'll make up for it by boarding, horseriding, and a little bit of horizontal gymnastics. ;)
Currently stressing about what to get MrF for Christmas. Nothing seems good enough :(

Right, better get the porridge on.

  • Morning d1ckwads!

I'm tired today. You shouldn't be tired when you're on holiday. The fecking shower still hasn't been fixed upstairs meaning housemates have to walk through my room to use my en suite. An email was sent to the letting agents yesterday, which we were told how to write by a lawyer. I have to say, if I worked for them, I'd be sh1tting bricks today

Not much planned for today, maybe a bit of Christmas shopping, maybe make some more flapjacks, maybe visit the German market.

MM - Glad to hear that mate. Well done!
CWNT - Hmmmm you have 2 children don't you? Can't you sell one of them? Which one will do best at school? Sell that one as that'll cost you a lot in future years ;)

  • Greetings Maggots,

Early night last night, well by my standards anyway
It was windy as hell last night and damned cold this morning
Home based today, so sorting out my unwanted crap for a trip to the recycle centre over the weekend.

Unfortunately, mine are both a bit like this (don't touch their ears).

    I am of course joking.

    Afternoon bumders

First off MM congrats. Anyway in uni, working as always. Ordered some new tyres earlier. Overdraft is getting near the limit now... need another student loan payment but have to wait a month for it.

Counting down the days until I finish. It'll be tennis and bikes every day for 3 weeks. Win.

    afternoon all

not been well the past few days so the new bike still hasnt been ridden which is annoying, hopefully i will get out on it on saturday morning before the first family xmas dinner of many to be had with missk's grandad (the not very well grandad)

had a problem with the maxle and the ragley hub on the front, the spacer supplied with the wheel that seals the bearings was obviously not in place properly when they built the bike, as it was crushed and minced under the compression of the wheel the front wouldnt turn!

also had to realigh the front brake as it was catching on the caliper

so with all that and the scratches that the bike came with i am not massively impressed with CRC at the minute and once i've spent my vouchers given in compensation i may think again before ordering a complete bike from them.

    Howdy Homos!

I don't care whether it's snowing, I'm more concerned that the Panda seemed to take off whilst crossing the Orwell Bridge. It's that farking windy.

Today is a bit of a nothing day, need to get out on the bike tonight, or at least on the rollers as my gut is expanding at a ridiculous rate.

    Afternoon Missing Links,

    Well done MM and CWNT

Currently discovering how crap the browser is aon a BlackBerry.
I braved the Frozen wastelands of the North East for a ride in Guisborough Forest this lunchtime and wished I hadn't as it was crap, just steep fireroad climb for a few minutes of singletrack red then down on the same fire road FFS.
At least I got some exercise and some practice crossing icy puddles and ice caked mud...

Now sitting in a nice warm house supping coffee: back down South tomorrow.

  • Long day full of shopping for random shit wifey wanted for the flat, was interesting to say the least, but at least most stuff is now here/ just waiting to be picked up!

Just need to get a fridge and living room set sold, and then we are done with the other flat. Dreading cleaning that place though.

Thanks for the congrats guys! Being home owners at 22 years old feels pretty damn good, and everything will be paid off before we hit 40 which means my mid-life crises should be good :D
