Hi All,
Looking for some infinate wisdom from someone who knows bike parts/suppliers inside out
I have just had Goodridge Red hose put on my Avid Carbon brakes as I am picking out bits of the bike in Red(makes it go faster ),trouble is I didnt ask whether they do gear cable to match DOH! So I have trawled the interweb and Goodridge catologues and it seems they dont do it.
So my next question is has anyone done this before and found a good match? Can I use some more brake line as an outer to the gear cable?,will I get parts to fit as it looks a little fatter?
I dont really want to have two colours of cabling so Im open to ideas or pointing in the right direction. Also a lot of the gear cables (clarks etc) look very bright red ,the Goodridge is a great match for ano'd Hope red parts.
BTW the Red hoses look the nuts
Cheers Matt

You can get heat shrink tubing in plenty of colours to cover the standard cables if you want to be a real tart.I don't do smileys.

No you cant use brake hose because the outer braid and coating on brake lines is too flexible. as said above get some heatshrink or look for red outer cable.0

Get it covered in mud and no one will notice the difference in shades, if they would even have noticed in the fiirst place.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_from= ... Categories take your pick, I have had yellow Jagwires (had to pick a colour, went for yellow instead of boring black) on my commuter for over a year now, smooth as silk and still bright yellow!
