Have seen something similar to this before, mind you that was in a guide on how to configure a Smoothwall (a router/firewall linux distro) to tamper with a certain few users internet connection :-) Basically any traffic that passed through it would be proxied and spat back out backwards, with all the pictures blurry, all pics replaced with LOLcats etc. would be a great one to pair with an "open" wireless network :-D
