My ex is at Uni so I believe can buy an Apple MacBook Air at 15% discount.
Anyone done this? I mean parents for kids at uni and all that? I know I need her proof of enrolement and all that but anyone could 'borrow' that from someone, anyone know how it works so that I can pay it on my card.
Anyone any experience of buying like this??

over the years i've had a couple of macs via staff discounts from friends of a friend, and one via student scheme, never had any problem
if your ex is willing to do it then the simple way is to just give her the dosh to buy it
if you are getting applecare, then get her to buy that at the same time to ensure you don't get any subsequent issue registering (from memory, maybe there's no discount on the applecare)my bike - faster than god's and twice as shiny0 -

I bought a mac mini, a HD monitor and a MacBoookPro through the scheme Apple education scheme between 2005 and 2007. I was registered as a part-time MSc student at the time but there was no need to send off my registration paper work or have my student 'status' validated by any other means. I just had to tick a box saying I was a student.
Just the same stuff but cheaper!0 -
