As above really.
I'm still in a little bit of pain after VWdog was sitting on my lap and jumped off to chase the cat, but in the process putting his over large paws/claws right beteween my obvious and the walnutts! i was left wimpering on the floor. people good money for that!
No riding for me tonight as i have bike fail and cant find a decent second hand 29er frame while i wait to order the carbon goodness after xmas. I have finally broken the shell on the wife who agree's i need a "NEW" bike and not a BSO.
Anywhoo onwards to Coffees!

Morning bumders
In uni working already. I've not seen daylight properly for a while now. Today will be filled with working and revision, for one pathetically short exam, that contributes fuck all to our mark.

Yo Maggots,
In Surrey today and saw the first snow of the season whilst on the M6, M6 Toll, bucketing down!
Only here for a meeting today then back home tonight to carry on packing and junking what I don't want for my exodus in January to climates warmer.
Wishing you all a good day..0 -
Morning all.
Today, although Tuesday is a day of monumental pleasure in the House of Spong. Our central heating and hot water will finally be installed after probably the coldest and smelliest October and November we've ever had to endure. Also hopefully On-One will deliver my new brakes after the Merlin fail.
I am so severely tempted by one of the raw Whippet frames at £299 that my fingers hurt, but I'd have to buy loads of new parts to fit so it's not an option.
Anyway off to breakfast, then interviews and then my first ever School Govenors meeting where I'll be asking the awkward questions rather than having to answer them.Visit Clacton during the School holidays - it's like a never ending freak show.
Who are you calling inbred?0 -
'ning
Spent the night drooling over my new board, nearly took it to bed with me.
Today is usual workmeh, followed by running around like a headless trying to get everything done before an early night. Still sleep deprived from the weekend, but thankfully the insomnia isn't causing me any problems.
Kisses

Morning bum hole inspectors!
Another earlyish morning for me, though compared to a usual weekday, I suppose it is a lie in.
I have a bit more tidying to do today, then order some parts to service the Pikes, then into town for a bit.
Raymondavalon If you've a spare road bike you don't want, I'll happily accept it! I only have small monies though, but if you're junking one, I'm happy to takeIt takes as much courage to have tried and failed as it does to have tried and succeeded.

I sort of woke up last week and decided to head back to Africa for good.
No, noit to partake in any civil wars, I'm too old for that sh!t now, but to go back to the warm climate and be around my son who wants to start a business venture with me.
It's a bit of a spontaneous decision, but I've been back in Blighty for a decade and if it wasn't for sh!t luck, I'd have no luck at all. The gods are steering me back to the Southern Hempisphere. How can I refuse. The pain in the ass is getting rid of a decade worth of assets, but the rag and bone man still does rounds where I am and the recycle centre is just around the corner. Win..0 -
Oh nice man, it be good to be back with your son and riding together i guess?
Its a subject the wife and i talk about but neither of us have any real plans to go. kiwi land is where i would like to move to but i've never even been there on holiday! I just like the look of it, and Canada. but its a massive commitment, and one i just cant decide on.0 -
As a new expat, it's a big decision. I should warn you that I ve felt pretty low over the last few weeks so this is in no way an impartial view but it's more difficult than it first looks. Lots of beurocracy that no one tells you about, having to make new friends especially if they don't speak your language (although moving with a Missus would help as you'd be less alone), getting used to a new way of life, potentially loosing out on some networks you did nt realise you had (trail buddies etc)
I was in a dark place before i moved and it took a while to get out of it and this was supposed to be a new start, which in some ways it is but I think in retrospect moving to London would have been easier, or at least to somewhere where they speak English (Canada would be my choice given my profession)
That said, Nick and MM both seem to enjoy it a lot so maybe I need to give it more time and MTFU!
Anyway
Dull day at work, shopefully brightened upo with a taining sesh after Lunch (now!). Cyclocross training after work if I can be bothered followed by a supermarket Thai Curry..nom nom! We're in danger of confusing passion with incompetence

His gears stop clattering tonight
And he's only here for some quiet conversation
He's leaving us, 12:30 flight
The moonlit wings reflect the stars that guide him towards salvation
He is an old man on his way
Hoping to find some long forgotten words or ancient melodies
He turned to Sprung as if to say, "Eff off boy, there's nothing there for you"
It's gonna take a lot to drag us away from you
There's nothing that a hundred men of Crud could ever do
I guess that Ray's off Africa
Gonna take some time to do the things we never had
Anyway, words, me, music Toto
My god those cats are gonna get Hungry@Raymondavalon
Anyway, today is back to work for a bit. really unmotivated at the moment, so much to do, but so little inclination to do it.
At least my Kidneys are all ok0 -
