Anyone riding in Essex?

Been out of the saddle for a few years, want to get back into some x country fun riding. I'm in Essex close to Basildon, anyone in the surrounding area up for Sunday / Saturday rides? Also any recommendations of routes appreciated! I've ridden @ Thorndon, Epping & Laindon country park so far....

I used to live in Warley, did Thorndon, Laingdon Hills etc a lot. Now riding with the Crest CC. If you are prepared to travel a bit we do MTB every saturday, alternating between canal towpaths one week, and epping forest the next, then every sunday road bikes usually from abridge but always worth checking our website
