Bearings failed yesterday whilest half way around my second loop of sherwood pines. So looking to replace the BB that came with my Shimano Deore Chainset (Double M545). I'm assuming this was a Deore BB, but there doesn't seem to be any markings indicating.
What is the best option for around £30?
Looking for something that i can fit and pretty much forget about. Last one lasted about 8 months.
Shimano XT Bottom Bracket (BB70)? rose are selling these off at £12.95 at the minute.
Also i need to replace one of the pinch bolts to the crank. Anyone know where i can get one, or a set?

Ebay is your best bet..SLX around £18 and XT £22 or try Merlin
Rose have been having delivery issues...so don't count on them if you want it quick0 -
Yeah I believe it is Hollowtech 2.
I was worried about delivery actually, they based in germany?
Merlin are £23 for the XT with free delivery (this was my second option), I would use ebay, but again delivery can be sketchy (link says 6-7 days).
There much difference between the XT and the XTR other than weight?0 -

Ordered the XT from Merlin for £23.95. 10% discount is only for when spending over £50 so no discount. Did get 5.15% cash back from topcashback.
Managed to find the part number for the bolts i needed too, ordered a set from ukbikestore for £1.99.
Hopefully they'll be here by tomorrow. So i can cycle into work again wednesday.....weather permitted (snow/ice).
Thanks for the help guys.0 -
i had a cheap crappy £15 one from merlin when my raceface one died after a month..
only got the cheap one as they (merlin) did'nt have any hope ones in stock... i only got it to keep me going till the hope one came in stock. the cheap bb lasted me over 3 years then died....
i now got my hope one.. the hope ones seal pretty good and you can replace the bearings when they go....www.bearbackbiking.com
