A Sobering Thought

Went to this site: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-15975720
It maps all those killed on the roads (which can be filtered by user type) for the last few years by postcode and it made me quite feel quite melancholy
Not sure if I drew any conclusions except that british roads are dangerous for all users (I was honestly amazed at just how many deaths there were in/around my sleepy provincial town).

Ive been looking for something like this, but didn't think it existed. Can't believe the amount of cycle deaths around my way, more than expected, thats for sure, and nearly all involving Heavy Goods Vehicles.
Cheers for the Link!0 -
Interestingly safe around mine - maybe about 4 deaths in total on all my commute routes which probably add up to over a 100 miles of tarmac. A bit surprised really.
I think this is pretty useful though - gives an idea of the sort of places which are actually dangerous rather than the ones you think are. Thanks for the link.Faster than a tent.......0 -
