Mornin bum bandits
Up early with the kids as normal, along with the added fun of a mates dog who as per Tom & jerry law hates the cat. So the kids and cat won the lounge and I have been working in the kitchen whilst getting my toes & shoes chewed!
Today is study with a few dog walks thrown in and the out for the current wife's Christmas party. Last year a bottle of vodka was placed on each table before the food arrived - so I am expected a fun night.
Right, strategy done, now time for corporate finance.....

Morning
First things; CRC have shipping my Ragley but haven't shipped the pedals I ordered, I mean wtf, is it so hard to put the pedals in the same box? Sorry sir the pedals will arrive seperately in a box big enough to house a nuclear reactor! FRUSTRATING!! [/rant]
So today is the epic boys drinking session, Xmas jumpers, geek glasses and an 11am start for beer and banter. Just got to ensure I don't shoot my bolt too soon and end up wasted by 5pm and in bed by 7pm. Which ever way it goes it will be epic! EPIC WIN!0 -
Where the fook is everyone this morning? There's usually at least 10 replies from insomniacs and people with odd sleeping habits by now.
A day of jobs and dad's taxi type stuff awaits  but I might manage to get out to see 'The Thing' down at the pics tonight if things go right."I spent most of my money on birds, booze and fast cars: the rest of it I just squandered." [George Best]0 -
Morning bumders
I have a hangover. Today promises to be dull as anything.

Had a pretty good nights sleep and No1 came downstairs and put the tv on and watched ceebeebies on her own without any fuss and no2 slept until 8:15 result!!
A day of rattling round the house and maybe a fettle but nothing planned until tonight. Watched the original thing last night to watch the new one tonight.
Dog walking and teaching no1 to ride without staberlisers will be fitted in at some point.0 -

Hi there
Well Brum is a nightmare today what with clothes show and German Market, but at least, despite my usual starbucks being rammed, lovely Claire had my coffee and muffin ready before I, even ordered. What I do hate though are, people who go and sit down while someone orders, taking seats from people with did and drink but nowhere to sit. By the time they get their order chances are someone else will have vacated a table.
Also made the mistake whilst travelling back from Shrewsbury of giving up my seat for a pregnant woman, who on second glance was just fat

No, I just made her feel uncomfortable by starting down her to at her sweater cows.
That and standing there holding my stomach and rubbing it. If she want pregnant, she might be now after what I left on the seat0 -
I've woken up, put my bike back together, gone for ride and decided it's definitely time to take off the summer tyres, a few too many sideways moments resulting in shin and pedal romance.
Should be getting my hair cut but decided it's too much effort to go into town and get it cut especially with the christmas shoppers out and about.
Now for the bacons, beer and eventually pizza! Have a good day nerds!0 -

Been a massive struggle this week. The man flue was a bad one and have an infected chest too. Coupled with one of the busiest weeks of the year. As I have my own business we just have to get on with it. No sick pay here!
Anyhow going out with some friends this afternoon on the train real ale trail. Great cos I dont feel like drinking.
Working tomorrow morning.
So a weekend of meh. This will have to be corrected once well.......Peter0 -

The questions he asks are stupidly long, and often are longer than the response. I think he's terrible!
Afternoon bumders.
I had an awesome sleep last night. Went to bed at 1 after messaging Hot Librarian till then.
Not much planned for today. I'm going to clean my bike up a bit, the mud should have dried by now, but I'm a little worried about the drivetrain, I can't remember if I cleared it of oil. May have a slightly rusty look to it :? SHould be ok though.
Anywho, as you were!It takes as much courage to have tried and failed as it does to have tried and succeeded.
Join us on UK-MTB we won't bite, but bring cake!

Lol at least yours has shipped! :evil:0 -
Afternoon homos,
Interesting day.
All the boats to/from the island are cancelled again, they've run about 3 times in the last 10 days. Went down into town and I've never seen anything like it, most shops are looking VERY bare, some have even had to close. Tesco has completely sold out of bog roll.
Anywho, surprise of the day is my knee. Whilst still being quite sore and still not having full movement back, it's now loose enough that I can pedal the bike. Going to check it over with the physio, and I may well be back on the Karma next week for some short, flat rides. This had made me very happy.
To celebrate, we're having a Chinese for tea. Special curry (no prawns) and fried rice, portion of chilli spare ribs and some prawn crackers.

that sounds like a delicious dinner
good news on the knee, i always think medical profesionals air on the side of caution when they discuss the amount of time people will take to heal. i know you are not healed already but i wouldnt be suprised if you are more healed, more quickly than you have been told, its like doctors always go with the worst case scenario.0 -

Good Morning well it is to me being a Zombie shift worker! Had a Crappy sleep, was woke up at 1430 needing the bog and couldn't get back into deep sleep.
On the plus side, Some new Superstar grips and Pedals arrived in the post
Off to work in an hour after some food.0 -
Yep, I'm not going to rush to get back on the MTB, as that's considerably harder on your knees. But I don't see why I can't do some road work in the mean time, if I take it easy to start with.0
