It looks like they had a look around the factory and thought "wtf are we going to do with all these boxes of out-of-date parts?
AHA! I know.....hello? halfords? yes we've got a great new bike for you."
Whilst it is very cheap, I'm willing to bet it rides like a bus with wheels made of dog toffee.0 -

That's a definite BSO...
Whoever writes the rubbish in the halfords website also clearly needs to learn the difference between eye to eye length, stroke length and frame travel...0 -
I'm actually tempted to buy one to see if it tries to kill me0

I'm willing to bet its a 190mm rear shoc that some noob writing the blurb has translated into 190mm rear travel.0

I think its cheap because its got the wrong stickers on it. I think its meant to have Apollo on. Its a BSO imo.0

Oh come on, that looks quite good. Deffo no BSA but I bet it rides like a plank of wood.
Blue rim only on the front is the only thing that doesn't look good IMHO.0 -
i just bought that bike for my cousin was that a bad idea :P
Just seen it in Halfords and the fork was the wrong way as well as the brake lever being so low your hands would need to have 10" fingers to reach..wish i had taken photoLondon2Brighton Challange 100k!

Tektro, eeeeewww, I have some of those brake callipers on the FSR while i wait for some Avid BB7`s, i dont rate the Tektro IO stuff at all, they came with the bike so ive left them on for the moment, but even with some decent discs, they still stop utterly crap.
I have wondered if maybe some new pads would improve things, but then i just thought "feck it, get some BB7"1999 Specialized FSR Elite MAX Backbone.
1998 Specialized FSR Ground Control - stripped for parts.
2011 Boardman Pro HT - SOLD! (low quality, expensive garbage)0 -

Thinking about it, maybe not a bso at all. Looks very Haro-esque, Just an old frame built up with junk perhaps?0
