Well, I didn't think you could get 29er wheels into a frame with 5.5" travel, something to do with chainstay lengths. But Ninerhave pulled it off.
Of all the bikes being bandied about these pages, carbon Nomads, SB-66 etc, this is the one I'd like to test ride!
Any thoughts?

I'd like to have a go, but it will be shockingly expensive (as all niners are) the majority will hate them with no just cause and its a sh1t coluour0

I think Cube have one lined up too... :?
EDIT: think this is it, more downhill though...

Still can't get my head around 29" FS bikes, sure I understand the merits, but they just seem out of proportion
Admittedly it seems as if more manufacturers are churning out 29" full bouncers, so I will get used to them..
That Nine frameset is nice, but as stated, it probably comes at a cost...0 -
Check out the Transition Bandit 29er videoand see what they get up to on that. 130mm of rear travel.

Pinkbike has an article on 29er Dh bike vs 26er DH bike at the moment. Seems to come down to manouverabilty and acceleration vs bump absorption. Which seems to me to be personal taste and nothing to do with which is better...0

Depends on the track as well, I guess... Be interesting to see how it plays out though. I mean, for me I'm sure a suitably built 29er dh bike would be faster at places like fort william- fast, open and rough. But then, I'm pretty crap- better riders don't just plough through all the rocks, the bikes barely touch the ground anyway so I've no idea whether that advantage would still existUncompromising extremist0 -

That niner is nice. Not sure I'd call it a freeride bike, but I'd definitely have a go on one!0
