Advice for Uber Noob - Fuji, Diamondback or Rockrider?

New to all this - want to give it a bash, but don't want to spend too much until I know it's not just a whim!
Yes, I know you get what you pay for, but I have seen these I like the look of:
Fuji Nevada 4.0

Interested to know your opinions on these - I suppose if it came to it I could slightly upgrade to the Fuji 3.0, or DB Outlook, the next models up.

Not really much in it - but the Rockrider has the best spec. If you were going to splash ouit, the Rockrider 5.3 is a nice step up, and better than all you mention.
