Mini pump with or without a gauge?

I am after a new mini pump. The riding I do does not generate a great deal of punctures and I do not race, From what I have read, most of the best rated minis do not have gauges. Does this matter greatly for a mid-ride repair? I am wondering if the better pumps have no gauges because they are inaccurate on mini pumps and so the idea is to keep going until you cannot put any more air in.

Gauges don't really add much for on trail repairs. Pump until its hard enough/you get bored.A Flock of Birds
