Just lost the 2nd multitool this year :-( MUST check zips in future. Am making a bid for a new one for Xmas.
What shall I ask for? Obviously, I want one that does everything, weighs nothing, and can be used on my roadie as well...

Topeak Hexus - all the tool you will ever need in my opinion and cheaper/smaller than the alien.

Update: got the Alien 2.
Very good. It has a VERY sharp knife... Sliced straight thru a tendon and half way thru another. No cycling for at least 6 weeks :-(0 -
Bummer. They should make a blunt one for children.I don't do smileys.

..for the spreading of Philadelphia. I have a variety of multitools of varying sizes and have needed scissors once (not an emergency) and a five millimetre allen key twice in four years. If my bike fell to pieces on a trail I would be stuffed, if something became loose I would manage with my Topeak mini 9. There is a mindboggling array of choices from a varietry of manufacturers. I have never had any problems with the tools I have from Topeak or Crank Brothers which all seem very well made.0

Topeak Hexus II saved me a few times including what would have been a 7 mile walk when a chain snapped.Mountain: Orange Patriot FR, SubZero & Evo2LE.
Road: Tifosi Race Custom.
