Is this actually the ugliest bike ever seen on BR?

I think you have a great collection of bikes and I'm enjoying seeing your photos, especially the scenic ones.

Snipey? You don't think Bompington has a point? I mean, that bike fell out of the ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down. It's not a happy looking thing whatever it's functional charms might be.

Believe me, few cyclists care less than I do how a bike looks, here's mine:

I would love one ride on that thing - look at the rear triangle + wheels. Awesome.

Always look forward to Akirasho's pictures so +1 for the beancounter.

Actually love the colour and the frame, not keen on the bars or bar tape, but otherwise it's cool.
  • Nice looking bike.

I think the people saying it's not nice are new to cycling in the last 7-8 years. Circa 1999-2001 that is just how aero bikes used to look. Way before planet X and others made £400 carbon popular this is all we had.

If you think that's ugly you should troll through old Cycling Weeklies (I have piles of them I need to trash) and around the turn of the century bikes were not very good looking - aero or not, alu or steel or carbon. Best looking bike back then was a DeRosa Merak in a black/blue fade with Record. 1" head tubes with external headsets and chunky carbon forks plus ahead stems looked rank. We just accepted it.
    When a cyclist has a disagreement with a car; it's not who's right, it's who's left.
