A friend of mine is launching a business, making and selling bamboo bikes! :D

    I've wanted one from a while. I've got family in Lusaka and next time I'm over there I'm going to see if I can pop over to Bamboosela and try one out.

    Seems like a really nice guy! I suspect he's underestimating what he'll need to fund this however. $5K is not going to get him off the ground properly.

    I'll keep an eye on this. I've got (cycling mad) family in DC as it happens.

    There are a few other companies out there building bikes from bamboo. I hope he isn't thinking he's the first.

    He needs to work on the "welds" a bit too
