1" Stem on a 1 1/8" steerer.

I almost have enough bits lying around my garage to build another bike, trouble is I have a frame with a 1 1/8" steerer and a nice set of tri bars with an integrated 1" stem. Is there either a headset that will fit a 1 1/8" tube but take a 1" fork or and adaptor for a 1 1/8" steerer that will reduce it to 1".
Cheers

Chris King makes adaptors for their headsets that allow 1" into 1 1/8". Also, at least in the States, QBP makes an adaptor that allows for the use of a 1" threadless headset in a 1 1/8" headtube. I have/am using both with no problems.
Dunno of any weight effective adaptor that would allow for 1" stem though.0 -
there are a hell of a lot of headtube reducers out there that press into the headtube to allow a 1" headset to be fitted."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

Cheers guys, don't think I can justify a Chris King on this build, Thanks nicklouse, a google search of 'headtube reducer' have turned up trumps, think I had search everything else but missed this. http://www.bicyclehero.com/gb/ps-bike-h ... apter.htmlSunday September Ultegra SL
