Anything out there to beat or match this? Primary use will be XC. I am pretty good with the spanners so am not concerned about buying from Halfords. I need to budget a further £150- £200 for shoes and pedals.

Can't fault mine. I work for Halfords but before that spent years working for an independent and have never seen spec to match the Boardmans. Don't knock Halfords as there are some great staff there, it can just be hit and miss depending on the store.0

I have been looking at the frame geometry this morning. Current bike has is 16" ie small but has a 59cm virtual vertical top tube length ie medium. Stem length is 110mm and the bike is comfy enough reach wise. I think the medium Boardman will be the one to go for as I am showing 10" of seat post clamp to clamp! Sound about right?0
