which one would you go for. Specialized FSR xc comp 2008 minter or 2012 rockhopper ex hire bike. pretty good nick tho both about same price. cheers

What did you think to the rear suspension? Was a well speccec bike the old FSR.0

tbh i found the fsr the better bike but it was the rear suss that i was bothered about incase of future probs with it .but as i say its minted and rides well. but so does the rockhopper and its only 5month old0

The sus is harder to look after, a lot of pivots and bearings that could need changing. Obviously you have no warranty, so make sure the frame has no cracks.
If you are happy about the maintenance and cost aspect, you won't go wrong with it. The Hopper of course is newer, and simpler, and should have some guarantee from the retailer.0
