Where can I buy old style long caliper brakes ...

... not allen key bolt. It's to fit a cherished 70's frame with mudguards.
I've found a few 57mm calipers on the market, but they're all allen key bolts. :(

    Try wanted on Retrobike - plenty of Modolos out there for little money - just gave a spare pair away I'm afraid.
    Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..
  • Tektro R538? (SJS Cycles), and Alongha extra long drop 57-75mm, just google and you'll find them
  • sorry that should say Alhonga, also Acor brakes which come up on ebay fairly easily. If you prefer vintage then Weinmann 605's? also on ebay a lot

    Doh' I never thought of Ebay.

    Edit - The SJS ones I want are 'out of stock', and nothing on Ebay at the moment ... unbelievable :(

    I found a set of weinman 730 for a tenner on Ebay... how long do you need them to be?

    Front 55mm, back 60mm.

    Yes that's the measurements I want.
    I think I've sourced these elesewhere, but good to have a back-up supplier ... and good outlet for future touring stuff :)
