The amazing story of a paralysed woman who whilst cycling with a hand powered bike crashed and subsequently regained feeling and movement of her legs.

    Just saw her on the news, it would be amazing if she had simply regained use of her legs but her determination and, so far as I could tell from the story, ability to compete at the highest level is mind blowing. Not often I'm smiling by the end of the news, makes a nice change.

    Truly incredible!

    Her leg muscles must have wasted away to nothing while she was in a chair and now she's racing at top level.

    I've seen various interviews with her and what she said was that Rabobank are paying her and she is in training to see if one day she will be able to compete at a high level; she isn't there yet! Still, it's a fantastic good news story.

    What a brilliant story. Ok, so she didn't have 3 different types of cancer but this still has to be up there with Lance Armstrong in terms of a story of determination to overcome what life throws at you.
