I hate work...but i hate being off sick even more. If im on leave, fit and healthy, happy days, if i'm on leave fit and healthy and the missus is on leave too, very happy days.

TV isn't for watching whilst off sick. The internet is used to watch videos from such daytime tv proggies that go wrong,between porn and lolcats of course.

ie: chavs telling Jeremy Kyle that he is a bad father on his own show.

1. You feel like a caged animal.
2. 4 weeks down on training (gym + bike) just got into a routine and getting in shape.
3. Even turning on the PS3 is a chore.
4. You can't actually take time off work because you HAVE to go in. F**kers
5. Can't taste any food.

On the plus side the prospect of getting on the bike is giving me hope :P

The wrorst thing about being off work sick is you're sick,unwell,unfit,feeling sh1te for one reason or another pertaining to the illness.

Being ill is crap, I'd sooner be well and able to go to work. In the near future I'm going to be off work for about three months,am I looking forward to it NO. I am however,looking forward to having a fully functional hip though.

i was on genuinely on the sick once, but not ill (minor op recovery), so I went to the local for a few

first day I thought, this is great, second day, bit tedious, third day, realised it was the same blokes in the same seats, same patter.

work was great after a week off

6 theres no such thing as a coffee break
7 the fridge is your only friend
8 your at home with the wife (see 4 in OP)
9 radio sucks
10 the dog doesnt greet you, like the long lost friend you were every evening.

Being off work sick is...........................the situation I've been in since Tuesday and it's crap. I'm on the mend now and should/hope I'll be back on Monday.

I've been on here more than I ought to have been and I've finished reading "boy racer" good stuff, if you've not read it, get yourself a copy.

I had 6 weeks off over the summer.

It was rubbish after the first day as i was incapacitated. Had broken 6 bones in different parts of my torso, so i couldn't move and couldn't walk..

First day back at work after the 6 weeks was good.

I prefer the PET scans - they inject me with radioactive sugar from a lead encased syringe and then put me in a a CT scanner me for 45 minutes, measuring which bits take up sugar. Oh and I'm not allowed near children or pregnant women for at least 8 hours as I am literally radioactive. Jan 4th will be my 4th one in 14 months. I can now sleep through the whole thing, it's so boring.
