Thanks to the chap in Richmond Park this afternoon who took the trouble as he was passing me (everyone does that btw) to point out that my saddle might be too high. It certainly looks high with a sloping top bar and I've boned up on all the theory but there's nothing better than someone "spotting" for you.
I checked the bottom of the pedal stroke and, although it felt ok, I guess the leg was a little straight. Think I might have been judging it with the toe pointing slightly downward rather than horizontal.
Anyway, nudged it down a tad for the homeward leg (see what I did there). Don't know if the bits that were moving when they shouldn'ta been moving are now stationary like they shoulda been and it didn't feel all that different so I'll give it a go.

It sounds to me like your stem's a bit long. And you might want to bump up your cadence a bit, you seem to be labouring rather than spinning.0
