Again, just commuting and trails with family.
Looking at a new wheelset for a vbrake
Seen some Mach1 MX rims on shimano deore hub. 32sp (will the quality match the cheap price £80-90 a pair)
What kind of weight do you think these will come in at, and are they likely to last a few years.
Or shall I opt for the trusty Mavic Crossride! at around £150

I'd have a look for some mavic 717 rims on hope xc hubs (2nd hand of course).
You should be able to find a set for about £100 since people tend to want disc rims these days.0 -

Are these the one on Merlin? If they are they will prob have been built buy them, and we only ever hear good things of their builds.
What kind of weight do you think these will come in at, and are they likely to last a few years.
They are going to be on the heavy side - at a guess 1950g - 2200g
Or shall I opt for the trusty Mavic Crossride! at around £150
They are trusty and if you get rim brake only then they are future proofed in that you may want to add discs later - not sure if those Deore have disc mounts on the hubs....0 -
