Dawes Flambeau - information please?

Hi,
I am thinking about buying a dawes flambeau, however before i commit to the buy i would like to know a bit more about the model. I have searched on google for more information and had a good look on velobase, but can find very little.
Is anyone familiar with 1970's Dawes'?
Most of all I would like to know about the frame? Is the frame likely to be a Reynolds? And in terms of frames, is this the be all and end all for road bikes of this era, or could this bike made from an equally good, non-reynolds frame?
