Having never owned one I'm looking for thoughts/recommendations. I don't want cheap tat that struggles to do the job and will break in a fortnight but equally I don't one the same price as my house lol... Thanks in advance

I recently got to work on a Park PCS-10 and was impressed. My other experience is with a Minoura RS5000 (at home) which is also good but not quite as stable as the Park.0

I have had this workstand for about 6 months, use it every weekend & have never had any trouble with it.
Very easy to set up & store ..... It was £79.99 when I bought it :twisted:0 -
I'm liking the price bracket of the suggestions so far!!0

I have got the same stand but I only paid £59.99
I have used it the same as jonni3, about once a week but had it for about a year now. Last weekend the clamp that holds the bike broke, but I managed to fix it but not sure how long it will last. Its good for the price but I my opinion not good for long time use. I will be looking at spending a bit more next time.0 -
I have this one:-

and I'm pretty happy with it. I certainly don't use it weekly though. I paid about £75, so I'm a bit gutted at the new price!0 -
Another for the Ribble. The photo doesn't do it justice - it's a seriously chunky stand and it's highly rated by the cycling mags. You'll find dozens of happy folk on this forum with one.0

I only paid £39.99 for mine It was £49.99 in a sale and I had a spend over £50 get £10 off code. :P
I have to adjust the clamp for each bike which it a bit of a pain. Nothing broken yet, although it is a little awkward to get to the components nearest the stand.0 -
I bought a Lidl special for £30 when they came up on offer:
http://www.lidl.co.uk/cps/rde/xchg//SID-EE70A958-2D088484/lidl_uk/hs.xsl/index_14168.htm?offerdate=&ar2=11&id=1058&country=GB&zipcode=Pollokshaws&city=Glasgow&district=G43+1PX&street=Riverford+Road&ar=11&nf=True
It's not a park stand - but it's fine for home maintenance. It's clamps up nice and tight and it's a decent weight so it's stable - and lets you swing the bike about without struggling with the centre of gravity.0 -
Anyone know if its possible to order the Lidl online or check if any Lidl stores have stock - or - is it just a case of going in in hope?0

Got a park tools one. It's awesome.0

With the Lidl ones, you normally have to keep an eye on the website and see when they're doing the cycling promotion (once every couple of months or so).
I'm sure some will still have bits knocking about though - give some local ones a call.0 -
Thanks g00se0

The Feedback Sports ones are about as good as they get but are pricey and the cheaper ones already posted are 90% as good. I like mine though0

I'm really happy with this one which holds the bike rock solid and is better for carbon frames as it doesn't clamp on the tubes.

There is a Park Stand at about £80 and one at £120. I can't see much of a difference between them can you?
