It takes as much courage to have tried and failed as it does to have tried and succeeded.

Right hands up, which one of you weak people gave me a cold?
i over slept by an hour this morning  but as i was getting up my alarm on my phone was still going so i must of been pressing snooze in my sleep (2 min intervals) so thats a good start to the day
No night riding tonight as Wifey and No1 are getting their hair cut, so me and No2 will have peace and quiet.
Hopefully the chain tensioner for my Junkyard dog bike will turn up today and i can hit the pump track later on in the week?
The cold better of fecked off by sundays race :evil:0 -

Have received a bargain quote to have the house repointed from our friendly builder, eon have listened to our surveyor and they will send somebody out to price for cavity wall insulation, my car insurance is cheaper now we've moved and I'm parking the car in the road, all my work stuff is up to date, there's a set of rapid racking going spare following a fit out and the boss is on leave until next monday.Visit Clacton during the School holidays - it's like a never ending freak show.

Morning crusty crudders...
Day has started badly....the missus bought smoked bacon rather than unsmoked so she has now been relieved of bacon procurement duties.
I do hope the day gets better as I have an interview later.....so fingers crossed !!

Word up!
i seem to have got myself a bit of a sore throat, which is annoying
me and missk had a frank discussion about money and stuff last night, and all is well today, she knows how i feel and i understand her concerns, all sorted with some post arguement bump and grind so its all good!
1day11hrs left on the bike on ebay, reserve met, so at the minute i shall be getting my new bike! boom0 -

So you're sick of spending money on shoes and clothes that get worn once and she thinks you spend too much on bikes?Visit Clacton during the School holidays - it's like a never ending freak show.

not exactly but you are in the right ball park thats for sure.
bascially im buying a new bike and im not being told otherwise!0 -
Smoked is clearly best.
People are cool when they smoke, bacon is better when it's smoked, it's just the way it is.
Today I'll be writing a report and pondering buying some cheapo old road bike for a pub/hack.
Then meeting a mate for foods and drinks after work, I'm worried it might look like a date though...0 -
Morning Homos.
Good luck with the interview Pudsey!
Today I am back working from home.
Got given an old Samsung Galaxy by my dad yesterday. I broke the screen on my old phone, and he's decided he hates touch-screen. Quite impressed with it actually. Really nice to use, much better than the nokia it's replacing.0 -

I slept properly for the first time in over a week last night. Feel pretty good today.
Usual boring work/gym/sleep on the agenda. However there are 2 packs of (unsmoked) bacon in the fridge so I'm pondering how best to prepare it for a post-gym snack...
Have a great Tuesday everybody!

Howdy doody Maggots,
Early night last night and has a solid night's sleep too, for once, but only to be awoken at 06h30 with a text message from my offspring who lives in a different time zone..
Managed to get another hour or so of snooze time with a little help from a cat snuggled up next to me purring, then the neighbour started screaming at her kid.. pfft.. anyway couldn't hear the words but she was well annoyed with him, I reckon he's about 5.
Home based today, so win...
Have a great day all..0 -

Morning Gimps,
Legs ache a bit from yesterdayslaps of Bedgebury, so I must have been trying. Only saw 2 other riders in the 3 hours or so I was out. Have already been down the library to get a decent book to read. Now contemplating moving my house turfing out project to the study where there's plenty of old crap hiding in drawers. If I manage that i'm tempted to go down my local ski shop and drool at all the new kit..."I spent most of my money on birds, booze and fast cars: the rest of it I just squandered." [George Best]0 -
so my day of stuff led to another trip to rutland cycles coz mrs 13 got the wrong sized shorts at the weekend! But gave me another chance to drool over the whyte 29er, touch under 2k, bit pricey and think i might be worried about getting it dirty if i got it!
Off to On Ones website, see what they have.
Do i really need another mountain bike?

Exes and double exes.
Back in the land of the unliving after a week away setting up and supporting a rally in Scotland - which nearly became a boat race on Friday!
Can't beleive how warm it still is considering it's nearly the month of Dismember already!

@ vwsurfbum
points taken, was looking at the scandal a while ago and do fancy one, then saw the whippet in carbon, then just started looking at anything with two wheels so really need to narrow it down.

I had a scandal last season, awesomly fast, but rigid as hell! i'd like to try the whippit or the carbon race 29er but i think its overpriced compared to what others i can get.
Bargain :?0 -
VWsurfbum wrote:Scandal 29er is back in stock, but what about the lurcher?
Judging from the last newsletter they sent through it's been binned, or seriously delayed.
I'm tempted by the monster cross bundle for £450, would be a good way to get a rigid, singlespeed 29er. The abuse I'd get for that one.Visit Clacton during the School holidays - it's like a never ending freak show.
