Hi,
Does anybody know if Berrylands Road in Surbiton is an OK area?
I'm guessing so compared to the 'Jungle' that is south east London, but just wanted to check!!
Cheers,
FJ

Surbiton has virtually the lowest crime in London so any part of it is fine. Berrylands is very quiet0

Berrylands is ok if you're poor, or have too many kids.
Joking aside, Berrylands road is mostly surrounded by poor people.
I'd prefer to be a bit further away from the Smith Street Estate (look at smith street, that's where it is).
Its not the Aylesbury by any stretch of the imagination, and the worst thing that is going to happen is that some kids are going to swear at you, but given you are moving to somewhere with generally a lovely clientele, I think its worth pointing out its probably the worst part of the entire KT6 postcode.Blog on my first and now second season of proper riding/racing - www.firstseasonracing.com0 -
I think I might manage for a couple of nights a week.
Either that or miss out on my commuting entirely by moving in with a mate in Tunbridge Wells.

Yeh, in the grand scheme of things, anywhere around Kingston/Surbiton/Richmond/ etc is 'safe' so its not to worry.
If you were about to spend half a million quid to live in berrylands, then I'd probably be a bit wary of it.Blog on my first and now second season of proper riding/racing - www.firstseasonracing.com0 -

Not sure where the boundary is now. Kingston has officially been a part of London since about 1972. Although Surrey County Council still has it's offices there.
I think Surbiton is under Met Police juristiction so would come under London crime figures. Not sure if it's part of London for other things.0 -

+1
If you want a chuckle then compare a SE London (e.g Camberwell Green) crime map to Berrylands0 -

since Greater London was formed, the M25 was built.
And the fact it's a continuous urban sprawl all the way into central london.0
