What in your opinion is the best looking bike out there? Not the most expensive or fanciest, but the nicest looking??

I'll start with a lovely Principia C24, in red and black, which I think looks splendid. I won't post a piccie, 'cos frankly I don't know how to, but am sure you lot can come up with some bike lovelies

There is something really nice about a lugged frames with paint hightlights and chromed forks and stays. if it was in my size would probably have ordered this already.

Bob Jackson Vulcan with curly stays a la Hetchins?

Or something bespoke from Vanilla. A 5yr waiting list has to count for something.

Handsome, in my eyes, ought to mean steel.

    +1 Asprilla and the Master.

Even the new one makes me quiver.

I've hankered after a steel Colnago since Saronni's win at Goodwood in 1982 :)

Yuk - ugly straight fork on that one.

Anyway, errrrr - slightly daft this. Trad steel framed bikes pretty much only look as good as the paint job (eg you could take my old Dawes, chrome the lugs and respray it to match the frames pictured in this thread and it would look pretty much the same) and anything out of the ordinary (eg the above wobbly frame) or wacky shaped carbon is getting the form and function thing the wrong way round and therefore doesn't count.

Why thank you so much. Of course, I can't take all the credit. Firstly I would like to thank my parents, my grandparents and all my ancestors back to the primeval swamp thing that first crawled onto land and who I regard as my first and most important ancestor. I should also thank the British state education system for teaching me English possibly more thoroughly than is the norm today - this at infant, primary and secondary level; I have benefited well from our state education system and should also thank the British taxpayer for making it possible. Oh how I cherish my English Language O level (grade A). I think I should also thank my careful choice of friends for helping me become the vaguely balanced individual I delude myself into thinking I now am.

And of course I must thank Leicester University and Imperial College for providing me with the academic education that enabled me to get on the career ladder and afford to buy the computer and the house in which it sits without either of which I would not be here typing today. I should thank Bikeradar, it's forum and all the idiots on the forum for inspiring me to make posts of standards ranging from genius to utter garbage and I should thank the countless companies who have constructed bicycles and components over the years (what would Bikeradar be without bikes?).

Without all of the above, my previous post would not have been possible. And with that, I depart to make a cup of tea.

That IS nice. There's a lot to be said for clean lines and a clutter free setup.

Nominating your own bike??? Hope your legs can make that thing go like it should . Can't say it floats my boat, but beauty, as they say, is in the eye of the beholder...

well that was kind of my point, if im spending that much on a bike then surely it to me is the best looking bike on the market.

my legs are nowhere near good enough to warrant a bike like that but give a damn, i enjoy every second i ride it, i get immense pleasure from looking at it.

FTR that isn't my exact bike, mine is dura ace not sram red and doesnt have those wheels (Currently a pair of fulcrums but will hopefully be getting some zipps) or bars or seat. You can see my current build in my signature.
