Help! Trek sizing

I'm a beginner to road bikes and have been looking to get a second hand bike for my first road bike.. I've managed to find 'ideal' frame sizes for my height and inseam length for brands such a specialized, giant, boardmen etc.
But I'm stuck when it comes to Trek (which I just so happen to have found a couple of nice ones on ebay).
I'm just short of 6'2" with an inseam leg length of 34".. the Trek website suggests a frame of 56/58/60 for my height which doesn't seem to be very specific
Can anyone give me a rough idea of what I should be looking for?
Or if you own a Trek can you let me know your height, leg length and frame size Thanks
Stephen

As ever, the advice to ride different sizes holds. I'm 6'3" with a 34" inside leg and ride a 60cm Madone which fits me well. I previously had a 58cm 2.1 which always felt a bit on the small side.Purveyor of "up"0

I have a Trek Pilot 2.0 in a 58cm. I am 6'1" with a 33" inside leg. Bike fits great.(Pilot is a more relaxed riding position though so size might need to be different on another Trek model)0

I am 6ft and have inside leg of 31" and have a Trek 2.1 56cm. I would have thought that a 56cm would be too cramped for you, I nearly went 58cm myself...A person who aims at nothing is sure to hit it

I'm 6'1" and more body than legs and I ride a 58cm if that helps.I'm left handed, if that matters.0

Thanks for the help
I'm torn between a 58 and 60.. which from what you all have said I may fit either!
I think I will head to my LBS to see what sizes feel the most comfortable0 -
