Hi all ... hope this is in the right forum,
I'm after some advice or recomendations for accomadation either in Bowness area or Ambleside near Windermere, there are 3 couples coming up, the lads will be biking in the day, hoping to do Whinlatter and Grizedale but need to be close to a few pubs etc for the evenings to take the lasses out etc .... the place would need to have secure bike storage and be close to pubs as said above ...
Any help much apprieciated ...
Thanks

My friend recommends this one
Best Western Ambleside Salutation Hotel
Lake Road, LA22 9BX Ambleside
Best Western Ambleside Salutation Hotel is set in a 17th-century building, and has a leisure club with a swimming pool, sauna, spa bath and steam room. There is also a fitness centre and beauty spa.
The Garden Room Restaurant serves a varied menu using local produce. The Bistro offers lounge bar snacks and evening meals.
Situated in the heart of Ambleside, The Best Western Salutation Hotel is surrounded by walking routes. Lake Windermere is a 20-minute stroll away, and Elter Water is just 10 minutes’ driveI'm going to blow the bank on a new build ( within reason ) NOW DONE!!

Very friendly, secure bike storage (apparently bike theft is rife in the area!).Pictures are better than words because some words are big and hard to understand.
