DJ Frame/Bike

In the market for a second hand DJ/Street bike. Would prefer to buy buy the bike whole, but finding something that I don't want to change is proving tricky so am also considering building something from scratch, though I know this will be more expensive.
Ideally want something 8/9 speed or SS with a view to upgrade. Would like to keep the weight down as well as I prefer lighter bikes, so would like to avoid a heavy steel frame, though I know most budget bikes of this nature are, so I'm not totally ruling it out. Built up a giant acid a few years back and that was a nice light frame.
Budget is up to about £400 for a complete bike, or about £150, maybe a bit more for a frame.
Any recommendations/links, greatly appreciated. Thanks

i've got a 00/01 specialized P3 frame you could buy off me for around £70.
It's pretty much bomb proof and fairly light as it's alu. You could have the frame and a pair of Marzocchi Z2 atom's for £100.For Sale:
