So on my shiny new Core (more muddy beat up Core now).

The SRAM manuals are crap and im after abit of advice on how to correctly set up my forks. They're 120mm.

Does anyone have any ideas on how i should set the preload and rebound. I understand that a lot of it is personal preference and down to what you're riding and what you weigh. But, i'm such a noob that i dont really know exactly what i'm after. I'm 75 kg.

The rebound adjust is the little black plastic hex key near the QR on the bottom of the fork and the preload is a knob on the crown. I get that preload sets the sag and i want about 25% of the fork taken up. is that correct??

Cheers for any help or advice!

Sam

Thereabouts. Then set the rebound about half way and experiment. Start by compressing the forks fully, lift the front end and try and get the wheel off the ground fractionally before they fully extend. You want them to be at the point where they don't pack down over a series of bumps, but don't pogo the bike up on rebound.
