Looks veeery nice - that acid colour might be a bit marmite but I like it. Great spec as well - you just need to get it dirty now!
Edited to say I would have got one of those if it hadn't been so damn hard to get hold of one in less than 3 months."I spent most of my money on birds, booze and fast cars: the rest of it I just squandered." [George Best]0 -

Hmmm, cannot work that review out, gave rave review in summer saying that even with crocked shock it was a great bike then this week u-turn & say it is 3 stars, they have now removed review from website, very fishy!http://www.pinkbike.com/photo/4707060/

Stunning looking bike
I'm eager to try this new suspension concept.
Did you hand pick every component, or was it a pre-chosen build kit?
What's the frame size? Is the weight you have listed for this exact bike, or an estimate you have quoted from another source?0 -
I was gonna buy the SRAM X9 build but decided to upgrade to XO & put a dropper seatpost on, I weighed it next to my brothers who has the full XTR build & mines a pound 1/2 lighter! He was gutted!http://www.pinkbike.com/photo/4707060/

Very tidy build there. Wouldn't have been my 1st choice for colour, but I do like the frame.
Let us know how the "new" suspension system works. The carbon version is calling my name.0 -
i saw the turquoise one of these in the shop and it's even nicer than this! even the black one looks super nice0

cheers guys, just got in after a rip round local trail so here's a quick review:-
Ithink the reason the 'average' review on site got pulled is they must have found the journo's smoking crack,
let me put it bluntly "THIS IS THE BEST BIKE I HAVE EVER RIDDEN"
bold statement i know but thats how strongly i feel, it is much better than my previous rides & they weren't exactly Appollo's! (2010 Titus El Guapo, 2010 Santacruz Blur XC carbon, 2005 Whyte 46, 2007 Marin Mount Vision etc.
After a little 'fiddle' with rebound it was brilliant, it felt a litle weird first few minutes as the suspension feels very 'floaty' but once u got used to it i was bombing!
The thing tracks amazing, there's a bit of gravel on the trail built into switchback berms & if you ride em hard there's a tendency for the rear wheel to 'wash' a little but this thing grips like shit to a blanket!
it feels like an XC bike, nimble, great climber but once i got to the jump section it hit rocks, drops & ramps much smoother than any bike i have ever ridden, it puts my El Guapo to shame & that rode brillianty.
The suspension just feels bottomless, what Yeti have done with this frame is amazing, if you are thinking of buying this bike DO NOT HESITATE, it freakin ROCKS!http://www.pinkbike.com/photo/4707060/

That's pretty. Here's mine:
Since put a Reverb post on there though. I've built it pretty heavy - Crossmax rims and Float 36 forks. Still blasting up hills like I'm on my hardtail though!0 -
very nice mate! whats your feeling on the 'ride' & that dodgy review on site?http://www.pinkbike.com/photo/4707060/

Please tell me you don't store it in that shed
Really interested in this bike, very clever what they've done with the rear shock. I'd like to know how the bearing holds up through some muddy UK winters. Stunning bike though and nice build.0 -

At the moment I feel like I haven't quite got it set up right, I don't feel as secure on techy downhill stuff as I did on my old Spicy. I think this is mostly a cockpit setup thing rather than the shock, which I've had no trouble with. I hammered round Swinley on the day of that photo with no trouble, tweaked my setup in what I now think was the wrong way and then struggled a bit when going fast over the bumpy stuff in Coed-y-Brenin. Gonna have another crack at the controls this weekend which will hopefully sort it.
My feeling on the site review (and indeed mag one) is that an Interbike demo day perhaps isn't enough ride time to write a proper review of a bike - though I can see why they would try. So many bikes so little time and availability. Kerb-sized hits blowing through all the travel does not match my experience at all. I gather a more longterm test review will arrive sooner or later. I'll be interested to read it, because so far all the reviews barring that controversial one have been so glowing that I think hype was an influence, I don't mind a bit of balance!0 -
I have a very short stem which I prefer, it enables me to sit 'in' the bike, the hilts setting my shock on rear the pressure made massive difference, I'm now running 220psi, I'm a big guy & this feels right in the 'sweet' spot, once I got it dialled the platform feels really stable, persevere with it, u will love it I'm sure!http://www.pinkbike.com/photo/4707060/
