Transfil Mudlovers - to lube or not to lube?

just fitted these and struggled to get the indexing right on rear derailleur
only problem is difficulty shifting up from 6th to 7th - won't quite go and needs an extra click up so the chain skips a sprocket
I did run a bit of wd40 (not a lube I know) down the inner before installing
will lube help - and if so what?

Do you mean to a larger or smaller cog.
Sounds more like an indexing or fitting issue if they are new. I use them and no indexing issues. Can't see lube helping as the cables run inside the liner.I don't do smileys.

That's how I understand up but you'd be amazed how many people don't. Are they new cables?I don't do smileys.
