What's the difference between the Mud-X and the Mud-XR please?
The website is a bit vague and I can't seem to work it out anywhere else either!! :?
Cheers

    Thanks Pudseyp
But is there any real difference do you know (in compound, weight etc.) as there didn't really seem to be. Or do you think it's a case of add an 'R' and charge a fiver more!?

Can't find anytrhing on the compounds....I think the only difference is the blocks are trimmable on the team issue so you can adapt the tyre to your personal prefference....

As trek use a lot of Bonty equipment, I would call a dealer to clarify

Has anybody out there used these up front? I've got a Dirty Dan on the back which seems alright and was looking for a similar tyre for the front for (muddy) winter. (Usual x-country type riding.)
    Any comments appreciated.

I think bonty just renamed them... no real difference. I use them Fr and Rr. Awesome from Sept > April.

Cheers benpinnick. That was the plan really - just stick 'em on for winter, take 'em off for the summer, or when it starts to dry out, and go back to my Nobby Nics. :)
