Cranham/Buckholt/Popes Woods Gloucester

Hi,
I'm looking to do some riding around Cranham and Birdlip as have been up there a few times and found some good stuff but have been hearing rumours that the land owners are trying to prevent mountain biking in the area. Plus have seen this listed on moredirt.co.uk recently 'PLEASE NOTE: that in Cranham Wood, Buckholt Wood, Rough Park, Popes Wood mountain bikes are permitted on bridleways only. Owners and Nature Reserve Managers are now enforcing this on all days of the week'. Anyone know what is going on? Am I best to write Cranham off and head to the forest of dean?
