Past the £1000

Today I have saved £1000 in fares since Jan 1 this year... :) paid for the road bike and accessories! New C2W scheme starts Jan 1 :)
Invacare Spectra Plus electric wheelchair, max speed 4mph :cry:

    I wish. My savings so far amount to about about £320 over fuel costs v buying stuff as a result of biking in (sandwiches, usually). Still more fun though. It's not about the money.

    You're doing well - I reckon I'm a good grand a year in the red. Having said that though I've gained some nice toys and I'm not fat so a win.
    FCN 5 belt driven fixie for city bits
    CAADX 105 beastie for bumpy bits
    Litespeed L3 for Strava bits

    Smoke me a kipper, I'll be back for breakfast.

    Win-win all round... i'm 8kg lighter, a lot fitter, dropped a trouser size (32" instead of 34"), feel better and its saved me money... plus I really enjoy the weekend club rides as well... there is no downside as far as i can see... now if Mrs OB could ride a bike...
